I went to the same school as Rocky (Rogermanwood) although he was two years above me. He was in my foster brothers class. Even then he was a great great player, but more than that he was just a great kid and so humble. He was head and shoulders the best footballer in our school, but he was never flash with it. Even though I’m not a Arsenal fan, he will always be a legend with me. RIP Rocky.

Funny how fans expect players to be loyal to the club in their worse times but then the club will stab a player in the back in a heart beat as soon as they show a moment of weakness like Arsenal did with one of their own in Rocastle. Next time you start crying about a player leaving for more money or sucess try and be level headed and remember that football clubs can be just as ruthless and treacherous to their players.

Such a great player and a true Arsenal legend! He loved Arsenal and we all loved him. Every game he gave 100%. He was so proud to wear the red and white! I was privileged to watch him many times at Highbury. I remember watching him as a kid in one of the first games I went to and it was one of his first. Under Don Howe in the last Umbro kit. I thought we’d signed a world class Brazilian! RIP Rocky. Always in all Gooners hearts never to be forgotten!

I’m sorry, I get Claude passing away is very sad and my thoughts are with his family and friends, but this video isn’t about him, there are over a hundred videos about Claude on VIdown at the moment where you can go and pay your respects which is a good thing to do. But this video is about David Rocastle not Claude, I’ve seen more comments about Claude than one of Arsenals greatest legends. I understand Claude dying is devastating to many people, but this isn’t the place for it, it’s the place to pay your respects to David Rocastle.
